Hola Richard,

This is to let you know folks that the CASIO "webinar/event"
sadly talked only a few minutes about drawbars and clonewheel stuff from

0:38:38 to
0:45:00

I didn't got interested in synth features synths, so to me was boring.

This Casio demo has by far IMO more features that in the former one at
youtube, that doesn't reflect at all what's this keyboard is.

Very flexible in terms to route MIDI signals, that's good.

Still I'd need to hear it in person ahead.

Best,

Rafael

Hola, Rafael!

I have a Casio two generation behind this one, a CTK691. I use it as a third manual with my VK88. I use the rhythms and instrument tones. I really like the breathy saxophones. You can also download free sounds and rhythms.
I am also part of a Casio discussion group and there was a discussion there about a harmonic beating issue between the Casio and the Ventilator. It goes away if only the 16', 8, 4, 2, and 1' drawbars are used. I believe the issue is the dischord between a 4' and 2-2/3' tone (or 8' and 5-1/3') that is emphasized by the more sterile tone generation in the keyboard.
The Casio has two sections, one is preset instrument tones including organs. The other is closer to a clonewheel with adjustable leslie, reverb, vibratos, etc. That section is still not as good as a more costly unit. My model has a very complicated user interface which was improved with the generation you asked about.
I sometimes play old latin music popular in the USA in the 60's and find the keyboard a most useful addition to my Roland VK88. (Girl from Ipanema) The sax is also very nice for blues.
