Subject:Re: Casio XP1 Organ Sounds

Rafael,

As several people have pointed out, this is a misprint. $500 is the street price for this keyboard.

Personally I think it sounds exactly like what it is, a $500 keyboard.  The leslie sim is awful and the raw hammond tones are way off the mark too..
As a starter $500 keyboard it's great value, and having virtual organ/drawbars is a cool feature. However most of the hammond/clone fans participating in this forum are a little more discerning and they're likely to find this completely unacceptable.  Don't bother comparing this to VB3 or any clones.. it simply doesn't compare on at that level.

BTW this video demo is awful, every time the guy hits the pitch bend and mod wheel I want to shoot myself!

Regards,
Craig MacDonald

Hi All,

Found this vid with XP1 "organ only " sounds.

The price @ $ 50 sound appealing.

Any A/B comparison of this against VB3 or vs the real stuff ?
