spite of that it was a once in a lifetime experience for me. To put it into
context I came to playing keyboards later in life. I had been a guitar player
for many years. The only authentic Hammond I had played before this was an
M100 with a 122 in a club I was playing at, and since the leslie cabinet was
not properly mic'd I could barely hear myself during our set. At least in the
store I was not competing with anybody else, so I could heat that magical
Hammond B3 sound all on its own. I now understand the passion all of you
Hammond B3 owners have on this forum. For your information the Hammond and
leslie were on consignment for $3900 a fair price if I am not mistaken. I will
go home and play my VB3 and enjoy it, but know the true ecstasy of playing a
real Hammond B3.
