Subject:Re: Getting To Finally See & Hear The Studiologic NumaOrgan
I still love my Numa. I had no issues with mine until a guitar player
dumped a drink into on a rental. I was able to get my Numa replaced because I
had an extended warranty coverage.
I have never had one lock up but I have heard that the issue is 99 percent
of the time due to the ribbon contact strip that goes from the manuals to
the control electronics . I have heard Studiologic is securing the strip
more solidly in the 2012 series that started shipping out this March.
If you are thinking of buying a Numa check for serial numbers past 000
something with digits ending at about 275. That will be the latest issue of the
Numa.
If you have service issues, the man to talk to is Hy Grauer at American
Music and Sound. I don't know why Craig had so much trouble contacting them.
AM and S is located in Montreal and Craig is in Toronto.... so I am not sure
what the problem could have been.
The Numa warranty is two years incidently.... parts and labor.
I agree that the chorus vibrato and leslie sim are outstanding . I have of
course been curious about how the Mojo compares but in a single manual
dedicated clone you are not going to beat it at this point. Some pretty
good deals pop up on them, but the latest issue is probably the one to go for.
