I agree, give it a whirl and see which way sounds best. The one thing I
know from experience is that with preamps it's very easy to overdrive
the input of the Vent, especially if you dial in additional drive on the
Stage, and when the Vent overdrives (red light) it is not a pleasant
sound, so keep that in mind. There are many places to inject a bit of
drive, you're really going to have to play around to find what sounds
best.
