Subject:Age is just number

Hi gang,

I am away on holiday out in the Canadian Rockies and really getting a kick out of this discussion about age. I know somebody else was born in 1951 as was I. I have never been hung up on age. I have kept myself in pretty good shape. I only play in two groups one with guys who are contemporaries save our guitar player who is 27 and a great player. He loves playing with older guys because we have a broader repertoire, and perhaps a little more taste then some of the other bands he plays in. My other band is a larger show band playing classic disco and R&B tunes. We have a broad number of musicians ranging from their early 20s to me at 61. When we play together there are few age barriers save a little less maturity and patience from the younger vocalists. The point I am trying to make is that your chronological age is just a number. In your heart and mind you can choose to be an old fart or young in mind and spirit.
