That "drummer" is Ian Paice, one of the best rock drummers ever... 

And although the video director is obviously in love with Ian Gillan and Roger Glover, there is no mistaking the power of this band in the early 70's. Notice that there are no monitors on stage...

Interesting. Two things that stand out about this video.

1. During Lord's solo on Highway Star, arguably his best solo on the entire album, they mostly show film of the drummer.

2. In this film Ian Gillian is the spittin' image of Russell Brand.
