Here's how it goes.
I use the C2 with a Vent. The one you sold me, Bruce.
I tried the VST VB3 using it's internal Leslie and C/V. The Leslie sim is ok but not up to par with the Vent. There's either something in Mainstage that is causing it to motorboat/sound weird or the model is bad.
What's even stranger is that my Presonus Studio One Pro won't recognize the VB3 so I can try it outside of Mainstage. AND it won't open by itself. I'm told by techs that some VST plug-ins won't open in Studio One. WHAT? And all others do?

I'm absolutely sure there is some pilot error somewhere in this mess but I'll be damn if I can figure it out.
BTW, this ain't my first rodeo with midi or plug-ins.
I've got tons of stuff and have never had a problem.
It doesn't seem possible that I'm the only guy in the world that thinks the C/V is off kilter unless something is amiss in the program or in the control section.
If I find out this is the way it's supposed to sound then I go back to my original point.
Not usable, for me anyway.
This leads me back to the B3 since none of this stuff seems to be workable at this point.
Maybe I'm super anal?
I think the C/V in the Nord is light years better than the VB3. Spot on for me anyway.
Here's what I prefer, a whole lot more of the chorus element and a lot less of the vibrato element in the C3 setting.

Craig,

I pretty much agree with everything you said. I pay attention to the
little details, too. (And I'm a Ventilator dealer, so yeah, I think the
Vent is kinda special!) I was more raising an eyebrow about the comment
that the Mojo C/V caused bandmates to cry, "Foul!" I can't speak for
others, but my bandmates don't pay quiiiiite that much attention ... ;-)
