I am a working musician like many of you who has used Hammond's A1/B3/C with Leslies forever. To lighten my load I now use a Hammond SK1 (No ventilator) with a master controller stage piano and synth. I also use a KORG CX-3 (new version) in my home studio. I now prefer to gig with SK1 and IMO it has a bit more balls than my CX-3 especially in the higher octaves. I'd just like to say before you blow off the SK models in your quest to find the perfect gig clone, know that the SKs are pretty deep offering the user numerous parameters and modeling for tweaking the Leslie, Overdrive, Percussion, Leakage, etc, etc. I have spent time with mine doing head to head matches with the real thing and the SK1 stands on it's own quite well (again my opinion). Personally, I would not use the SK as my sole keyboard on a gig and agree the EVs may not be the greatest, but as an organ it fits the bill perfectly for me. Everyone's ears are different.
