Subject:HOAX = Clonewheel in a chip

Hi .

Happy and sunny weekend for anybody !

Overlooked the HOAX info brought by Frederick Sommerville in Sweden, until I saw it today:

Refers to German updated site

Any news about board availability (announced by end of June)

@ 200 bucks sounds quite appealing, beyond that will be more hidden costs
mainly time or hiring a techie guy.

Here is a very interesting board.

It is build around an fpga cricuit.
The interesting thing about them is that they can do parallel tasks.
They are a huge number of logical building blocks that you build any circuit out of.

These IC do no process in the serial way of a mikroprocessor (Like DSP`S) where
you only can do one instruction at the time (unless you have multiple cores).

In an fpga you can have n number of logical circuits running in total parallel.

In this case the man has configured a complete TG where every tonewheel is
running in its own circuit.

He has configured all of the key contacts with bounce patterns.

Etc.

I am thinking about doing a non intrusive retrofit in XB-3 organ based on the
HOAX board. The XB3 has the appearence of the B3 but it is at least haulable.
Cumbersome compared to my Nords combos but it has the stage precence.

Any one of you that has tried it?

Frederick
