I usually get $250 plus delivery for a big act. Clubs it's 1/2 that plus
delivery. I add $60 each way if I have to do that, and I don't lift anything.
The delivery price is crucial, cause you have to show up after the gig and load
it.

Quoting M Acantralto :

Back in  1978  I rented out my Hammond C-3 toJazz Alley in Seattle..for the
Jimmy Witherspoon band ........at the time if memory serves ....I rented it to
the house  for about   $175.00, for the week ...I think they were playing
for 4-5 nites ...
Of course i drank up all my profits for the week ...it was such a good show
...
lol.
I have never been a professional ..just an amateur ...but it was great to see
a real organist play my axe ....

I know this is of no use to you now ..   I was young and dumb and wrote no
contract an had no real insurance ...

let us know what how it goes ..with your experience ..

Subject: [CWSG] Renting a Hammond

So I was just curious what the going rate is for a rental of a Hammond B-3,
leslie and pedals, delivered and set up and then torn down. This is a 2 day
gig the band is playing tomorrow night and Saturday night. So technically I
would deliver the organ on Friday afternoon and pick up Sunday morning.

The venue is only about 10 minutes from my house. BTW, I think the keyboardist
might also be a member on this board...Dave Amels? Anyone know?

This is my personal organ so I am somewhat subjective on when and where to
rent it, also would one draft up a contract of liability just "in case"?

Thanks in advance gentlemen.

Austin
