Herein lies the problem.  Stores pay for their retail space.  Keyboards take up a lot of that space, especially if they stock them.  It costs money to ship those keyboards, and costs money to purchase those keyboards (yes, the stores purchase them!  Crazy, huh?), and costs money to employ personnel at the store.  You just made Hammond Dave's point.  Why would they stock these items when you're likely to turn around and buy them online where the online stores which don't have that overhead can charge you less?

Oh...they won't.
