That issue is something that is debated.
Best to ask, if they'd tell you, the techs that do TG recaps often. Kon
Z. has many views on this and has studied the matter on his own TG's.
Of course he's all the way in Australia where Hammond techs are he and
few others. Kon does his best to eek out as much info as he can.
Other than that cap kits from Goff's or Tonewheel Gen, Bill Brown's
site are available. I don't know off hand if these kits' values are the
exact or ballpark.
To my mind I wonder what tricks Hammond factory did during TG
construction, variables that are not available to the mortal man.

Also, every few years or so a cap might fail completely and you'll
lose that tone, but you'd have to lose a bunch at once for it to be an
issue on a gig which is very unlikely. To get it back the cap has to
be replaced. Do you replace it with one of a similarly increased value
or one closer to the nominal value as it should be????
