Yes, it's clearly a direct feed. And yes, they sound amazing. I sent the link to one of my drummers, he called to yell at me for ruining his day (trying to figure out how he's going to come up with 8 grand.) Think about all the time wasted at every sound check getting the drum mikes all positioned and the sound together - no more.
