That pedalboard is going to wear in no time. Timber looks very nice but I'm very surprised that they didn't go in for a tough plastic surface. Wooden pedals for gig work is not a good idea, (yes, I know your B3 at home has wooden pedals) the grit and muck off the floor will act like a grinding wheel on those. I used a 25-note wooden pedalboard for gig work and the stuff that collects on the bottom of your shoes will wear the surface off a timber pedal as quickly as anything (and I am careful). If you get one of those, put a large rug or piece of carpet underneath the whole setup so that as you walk on, the carpet will automatically take most of the grit from the soles of your shoes. Another alternative for us pedal players is to get some U-shaped clear, reasonably hard plastic that will slip over the 'natural' pedals and will grip to the sides of each pedal so that it won't slip. I like my equipment to look like it just came off the showroom floor as I'm sure you do. In one of my other lives, I play a 40 year old electronic organ with a full 32-note wooden pedalboard which was fitted with those covers from day one. It still looks like new, there's not a mark anywhere.

Cheers
John

Try two-plus grand...$2,200 US street! At least they're $2,199 at Sweetwater, and that's $400 off the "we're-really-REALLY-proud-of-these" MSRP of $2,599! That's your price for the Nord Pedal Keys 27, billed as an "Organ Bass Key MIDI Pedalboard with Swell Controller for the Nord C2 Digital Organ," or PK27, but I'll bet you dollars to drawbars this is the same unit sold as the 2-octave pedal clavier for the C2D. You can see them on Sweetwater's site here:

No price yet at Sweetwater for the C2D, although they'll evidently take an order.

Peace,
Fox
