Well, not to be mistaken as a racist comment, it boils down to American
ears.

Although the playing field is wide open for all nations, as the field
sort of has been "leveled," its a pity that economics (along with
social engineering's watchful eye...) killed the real thing and the
country of origin's input into the instrument.

The VOCE DMI-64 Mark II was the only game in town for awhile... I
still have mine and it's a thrill to hear some of the sounds it make --
even the Farfisa-like tones are pretty fun! -pc
