Subject:Nord C2 vs Hammond B3 click comparison
A good friend of mine that owns a B3 and did a little testing today to compare the two.
One thing that stood out to me clearly is how a B3 clicks. It clicks a lot.
But you can´t do anything about it if you are using a 147 or 122 leslie.
It sounds the way it does. So you smile and enjoy life behind the caterpillar of music.
I set up the C2 to a click level similar to my friends ol B - which means set the click to max.
This happens to be the setting i normally use but at times I am tempted to lower it because I think it is to much.
But it isn´t - compared to a B3.
I think most ppl would turn down the click on a B3 (compared to how much it naturally clicks) - if there was an option, but the only option you have is do turn the treble down if you use an external amp. I think most ppl turn the treble up when using a dual showman or similar.
Conclusion for the Nord C2 - use the U3 TG model - turn the click to max.
Then just forget all about settings and imagine its a B3 and focus what is really important - The music you play.
