Hi,

My 2 cents on LED stage lights. In general, these are great. Low enough power consumption so you don't need to hire an electrician to connect directly ahead of the main breaker or risk blowing fuses. That's probably the biggest plus for a relatively small band.

The caveat is the lumen output. In a darkened room/stage they will look fine but you need to be aware that you'll get what you pay for so if you're used to using 500 or 1000 Watt Par Cans, you might consider comparing the typical lumens output of the LEDs to the old incandescents just to see what you'll get. I don't know what the lumen rating it is offhand but I used two "4BAR"s before and they seemed a bit wimpy (but not useless) so it might be something you want to look into.

BTW, that was a couple years ago and this stuff is improving all the time. I truly believe that in a fairly short time, LEDs will totally dominate ALL lighting technologies for home, industry and stage. We'll see.

Cheers,
Rock
