Hehe, did Gates try and vaccinate anybody? Ahem..

Pro Tools was initially designed for Macs because the entire computer
was more reliable, was mostly their proprietary parts not partsputers
like PC. Over time, as will happen, Apple changed their PCI slots which
meant PT farm cards needed to be redesigned at $4k a pop you need 3 to
get to HD 3.. I think PT got dismayed trying to keep up with the
changes. Most plugin people then made plugins to work with Pro Tools
thru Macs. The other side of the coin got dismayed as well because now
they had to design plugins that will work with PT thru a PC and work
with all the other makers of plugins. These computer makers don't give
a rat's a$$ about DAW makers. And plugin gurus have to constantly shift
gears.
Station!!!

Well Norm the daughter of friend of mine worked as Bill and Melinda's
nanny or similar for several years while she lived and went to Uni in
Seattle. 2 degrees of separation eh.

After 2 years using Win7 and the last 3 months of using Win7 on my VST
laptop I haven't  yet seen Win7 spit the dummy, i.e. generate a Blue
Screen.  Mind you with XP SP3 it's an uncommon event despite what
others may say.

Rest easy - using Win7 is in no way "living life on the edge" (with
apologies to SRV).
