The way I look at it is authentic reproduction VS colored or affected tone. Most if not all KBs will be fine with the former but the "organic" instruments seems to me can often make use of the coloration a guitar amp can provide, but at that point, it gets personal and subjective as much as any guitarist would be in choosing an amp. Sometimes the limitations of frequency response can even be a desired attribute.

If someone were considering an amp for an all around KB setup, I'm sure we wouldn't be recommending the purchase of a guitar amp. On the other hand, I would not discourage someone from experimenting with guitar amps if they were looking for unique or unnatural tones especially if it were for specific instruments as opposed to an all around KB rig.
