Working for Hammond :) - I take my hat of and bow :)
What always amazes me with the old hammonds is that there is almost nothing in a B3 that sounds bad. The only artifact in the B3 sound that is unpleasing to my ear is V1 - V3.
It sounds a little corny. But you still can't say it sounds bad.
All the other bits and pieces in the sound have nice caracter.

And this is what everyone tries to get right - that nothing should sound wrong.

When I got hooked on Hammon hearing Pierre Swärdh 1992 (great Swedish player) an L-100 was all I could afford. I spent a lot of time during 5 years improving it's sound I left no stone unturned. And in the she sounded quite ok.

Then I lost interest it was to heavy to haul around.
Enter the Nord c1 in 2007 finally an instrument I could carry.
I hauled between Gothenburg and Stockholm on the train almost every week for a year.
I build my own drawbars and suddenly I quickly got the sounds.
Enter the C2 - click and tonewheel even better.
I found Vb3 now i could have a pracitce kit in both cities.
And now I use the C2d with full set of drawbars.
I have an XB-3 at home so I always have a ready to play organ.
This instrument lets me get used to the size of real thing.
If I could I would have a Hamicord and KeyB as well.

You can not have to many organs:)

I'm really happy for the organ community.
We have lots of affordable instruments now. So the art of playing Hammond style can live on and evolve for years to come.
