These half Leslies will make do in a band situation depending on how
authentic a rotor animation one needs. However without the lower rotor
in the mix, there are certain Hammond tone notes that normally resonate
and stick out because of the lower rotor, that smear (sounds like its
not spinning) with just the top going on units like the 2101. Not all
notes come out of the upper rotor, an idiosyncrasy of the whole
Hammond/Leslie phenomenon. One has to factor in physical acoustics of
the Leslie speaker/cabinet.

It can't be just all electronic.
