Subject:Custom Built Progress - NE3 with drawbars

Hi Guys,

I've just added some progress pics of my NE3 with midi drawbars.

The Top Keyboard is assembled and playable. I'll be giving it a run at rehearsal
tonight.

Obviously it's a work in progress and still needs a lot of finishing touches,
(Rounding off, paint, label stickers, etc). But it's coming along well.

It may not have the new sound engine of the Nord C2D, but I think I prefer my
drawbar layout.
I also have the advantage of the 'real drawbars' AND the LED drawbar display, so
when I change to a preset, I still have a visual display of where things are at.
(I think this is correct. I haven't seen a C2D other than photos, so I'm not
sure if it still has some sort of LED display or not.)

I'm also planning down the track to make use of the real-estate on the left to
add some more midi controls for preset buttons, (probably just using program
changes is the easiest way). The hold shift & press a preset button kind of
sucks IMHO so the single push button idea is pretty tempting.
