Yes they did have the 101 but I think they entered into the game late,
compared to the other combos which had conquered the record charts
early on. Gibsons were not the organ of choice, although Manzarek and
others used them later on and again, country of origin, USA. I have
never seen a 101.

The mindset back then for countries other than the USA and UK, was gear
made in these countries were highly prized, expensive and hard to
acquire. Guys in the know would go out of their way to buy and import
a Vox, for example, and sell then out their homes to like-minded
musicians rather than rely on a local music store that would never get
around to importing such. I've seen that happen, one astute family in
the Pacific was known for ordering Fender, guitars, amps (the
international voltage models with selector switches for AC) Vox amps,
organs, guitars, Binson Echorec machines, Beyer mics, Premier, Ludwig,
Gretsch drums all the "boutique" gear that was not readily available to
the mortal muso, and sold them to kids with rich parents or a rich band
manager.

OT--Didn't Gibson make a compact organ also?
Were they available elswhere besides stateside?
