Honestly, that isn't going to take care of your problem. That's the equivalent of putting some warmth on the mic that's on the leslie. That tube warmth is always in the signal chain before the speakers (or in vent case simulated speakers).
I tried a hughes and kettner (spelling might be off and I'm too lazy to get up and look) before my vent and it didn't seem to do too much as far as that harshness goes so I'd try the thing before you spend the money on it, I have a feeling that the vent alone would take more away. Unfortunately, unlike the first CX3 which had a normal signal path, there's no way to stick anything between the "organ" and "leslie" on the new CX's.
One other question I'd want to ask though, is this harshness the same to all of us? I have guitarists coming through the studio with some pretty shrill guitar sounds, and they get these out of every amp they go through. When I inquire about the type of bands they've been in, it's always very loud heavy guitar bands. I kind of wonder if the korg is just "off" in a general way (I think Bruce mentioned one they had an aliasing problem) and it comes through to all of us as "shrill" but maybe different depending on our particular case of hearing loss or sensitivity? If that's the case, what works for one person might not work for everyone.
