As I posted previous, my Marshall JTM30 with the similar ribbon
connectors gets intermittent. And even after connecting and
reconnecting these plastic connectors the problem creeps back. This was
done by an amp guru too. I thought of gluing the thing or maybe find
some strapping solution so the unit can be serviced. Its a bad design
and short of hardwiring the connections and doing away with the
connector, I don't see much hope of it getting solved. But you may get
lucky. Murphy's Law may rear its bumping uglies though at the gig.

wouldn't it help to actually disconnect,
then *reconnect* those cables?
Maybe a little contact cleaner on the connectors between steps wouldn't
hurt, either.
