Yea, the Korg really does need to be tweaked quite a bit. I've been tweaking for two years now and finally got it where I want it. Also, don't be afraid to use different settings for different combinations. I have two for the real leslie, one a little brighter when I need to compete with guitars. I also have one setting for the onboard sim (which doesn't get used sice getting a vent) and one I am still tweaking for the vent. I found what sounds good through the leslie doesn't work as well with the vent.
