Sorry Fredrick, I should have responded sooner but had some email issues.

My type of clone: I was using a KORG BX3 but switched to a Nord C1 then upgraded to a NORD C2

My top Priorities in selecting a clone... for me I am a traditional organ player who likes to sit down behind a double manual clone and my priorities are sound first, and weight second. I'm willing to adjust to using NORD buttons rather than drawbars to dramatically reduce the weight. I prefer a simple lightweight gig rig solution. Price is less of an issue but I have limits as to what I am willing to spend. That said, $450 for a Ventilator is money well spent. However if/when a new clone comes out that has a leslie sim equal or better than the ventilator I will probably buy it because not having to carry around an extra device, power adapter chords etc.. is important to me. I have a real 147 road leslie and a speakeasy vintage preamp that I can use with a gig rig if I have to, but with the ventilator and my QSC K10's I just don't think that there is enough difference in the sound to warrant carrying a real leslie.

Gigging.... I play out 3-4 times a month, always with my clone, and I transport everything in a Ford F150. I can easily get all my keyboard stuff in the back seat, and if I need to drag out our PA it goes in the bed of the truck.

Pedals.. I have always played pedals, but I don't in my 11STEPS Band, however I have started playing the odd trio gig where I play left hand bass or kick pedals. For this I just plug a set of Roland PK-5A's into my C2.

Real Hammonds.... I own several real Hammonds and leslies and currently sitting in my living room is a mint BV/122 (for sale if anyone is interested), and a franken-B (A100 transplanted into a BV cabinet) which I used on the 11STEPS CD, as well as two other leslies.. a 44W converted to a 147, and my road 147.

Additional information of interest... I bought my first B3/122 in 1973 when I was 18. My buddies were all buying cars, I bought an organ, I still got more girls than they did... but I didn't have a back seat to make out in.. but that's when I started learning to improvise.
