You loose me on the dirtied part not being useful.
To me a pristine hammond sound has all of the "defects" and is extremely
dirty by any audio standard.
If would have visited a project meeting in R&D at Hammond in 1934 we would
have note that they where deeply concerned with all of the defect they
feared would kill the project which was meant to replace a church organ.

Luckily they did not manage to get the defects out of the organ.
