I do share your pickyness for the sound.
Which is why I haul my beloved 145 when sound really counts.
My leslie 142 has non stock woofer and treble driver. The Xover was home
made so I bought a new one.
The curve is still not right and it annoys me to hear the interference
between the frequency's in top and bottom rotor when the top has spun up
but the bottom is accelerating. You get a non pretty intermodulation.
If you can lay your hands on a 120 110 125 25 825 820 Then they make an
excellent bas for a bottom rotor to compliment a motionsound pro 3x. This
is the reason I now have 4 of them. They are easier to put into car.
It you are really into tinkering you can add a top rotor inside with a
shoehorn and get a miniature leslie.
You need some carefull woofer selection for a good low end.
