The XM-2 will respond to either the Hammond method (CC's 80, 81, 82) or the method used by other companies. The benefit to the Hammond system is that it sends a lot less data when moving a number of drawbars at once. Sending 4, 5 or more CC's each going from 0 - 127 along with things like expression data and other CC's can cause note on/off data from the same controller to get held up so notes don't play when you press the keys or stop as soon as you release them. They show up/stop eventually.

The XM-2 handles the large number pretty well but I did cause it to happen occasionally. I could make it happen pretty regularly with my Kurzweil PC2R
