Shawn I don't use vent, I rely on the Leslie Sim in VB3, I use mixer send to the FOH and secondary out to on stage monitor.  As I usually have no control over FOH position or equipment I run in mono so any additional realism a Vent would add would be lost. 

I guess you are transitioning to a Mac from a PC, don't hesitate to ask questions as you go along, I wasted a lot of time on Mainstage due to a lack of understanding of terminology and Apple's assumption that things like "where do you go to view Inspectors that do not open automatically" were so basic as to not require mention in the help section.  Also a lot of the detailed stuff on channel strips etc. is all under Logic help not Mainstage - which is great but the channel strips are subtly different in Mainstage compared to Logic and these subtle differences can trip you up.

Between the power users like Bobby and others here I doubt there is any question on getting Mainstage up and running that can be answered.

Also when you first install Mainstage make sure you download all the additional content, you may find the free AU/VST's that come with Mainstage more than adequate for your needs.
