Yeah I know Reznor loves Mainstage. I saw NIN use it with at least three techs off stage running it along with racks of Marshall heads and closet sized flight cases for the guitars. It was similar to watching Van Halen decades ago (before they got problematic) in San Diego; there was one guy on the far left of the stage operating a wall of effects that was taller than he. Someone was part of the processing the artist needed to help the performance.

The keyboardist I mentioned who did not want a CX3 had a Motif stacked on the B3. But he only used it midi-out to his laptop he set on the Leslie, running Mainstage to do pads. More and more laptops get used for the sweetening instruments that wont be missed if the laptop crashes on pro concerts. But that is most likely to change.

I like Main Stage but quit taking the laptop since I also use my Mac LT for recording.
I'd be screwed if something happened to my Mac on a gig.
If I were able I'd get another Mac for live work.
NIN uses MS on all their gigs. Trent Reznor loves it.
