I've tried several different speakers and combo amps with the vb3 and a few kb clones. Each has it's own character. The crossover and balance between the woofer and tweeter make a world of difference between all of them. At lower volumes some horns or tweeters can be brittle sounding until a louder volume opens up the woofer. Other odd things come out with a fast spin setting. Some day I'd like to try a rack mounted variable crossover setup to see what kind of changes of the sound come about.
