Thanks Chuck, this makes clear about where VB3 fell short for you. C/V (and key click) is often mentioned as a short coming with clones.

As a recent convert to Mainstage from a PC environment it took me a while to understand the way Mainstage works. On a PC host software is just that, apart from Master volume and a few other controls you map virtually everything to each VST, based on what the VST supports.
In Mainstage you have to map all controls in Mainstage first and then to each AU/VST. I use about 15 patches now in Mainstage and the way it operates makes it really simple and quick to add a new patch. I now have 4 different VB3 patches set up each with different saved settings. Also found the manual to be pretty ordinary from a new user perspective so a pretty steep learning curve for those new to Logic or Mainstage.
