Subject:Korg CX3-analog/digital comparison MP3 and a ton of other vent/ leslie/ RT20 MP3
Chris said he never got to play a CX analog but heard it, and this subject seems to still be of interest, so since I have both Korgs hooked up at all times in the studio along with a posse of hammonds I thought I would jump in here a bit. I rarely use the old CX, usually I switch on a hammond or if it's late and don't want to wake the wife up the new Korg and the vent. However each time I do switch the old one on, I wonder why I don't do it more often. There's some things that are really cool about it and some things that arent. They're just different. I did a demo of just boring old tones and stuff between the two here: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=40590&songID=8017958
Also, at the expense of being so bored with a song that my solo's are really starting to get meaningless to keep the comparisons kind of equal, I added a few more demo's to my soundclick page, one, the Korg CX analog through a vent (now there's a direct comparison between the RT20, vent and real leslie), and the Korg CX3 digital version through a leslie and vent. Keep in mind these aren't that musical, they're there mostly to hear the differences between organ sounds, and I wouldn't even post them anywhere except here beings we're all a bit obsessed about our sound.
