Subject:Re: Art Tube with a Korg CX3 (latest and last version)

Leo,

Yes, the setup I mentioned was my home setup and outdoor gig setup:  CX-3 -> Art pre-amp -> Vent -> PA.  I tried using the CX-3 directly into the Vent and it sounded terrible, especially with the Vent is in tremolo.  But with the tube pre-amp it sounded beautiful - night and day difference.  At my church gig, I use CX-3 -> Speakeasy pre-amp -> Leslie 145, and of course that sound like ... a real Leslie! :-)

As jjmcs49 mentions, if I was going to buy one today, I would go with the Tube MP.

Lou,
>Thanks for your reply. I have the later version CX3, but still find the top octave too shrill even after adjusting the EQ. I am still not clear as to which model to buy.
>They have the Art Tube MP studio, Art Tube MP mic preamp, Art Tube MP Studio V3 and the Art Tube MP Project series. They all seem to be table top devices.
>Do they make a rack mount version? Are you also using a Vent? If so, does it also help tame the shrillness, besides the obvious high quality leslie effect?
