ART makes a number of rack mount preamps.

Lou,
Thanks for your reply. I have the later version CX3, but still find the top octave too shrill even after adjusting the EQ. I am still not clear as to which model to buy.
They have the Art Tube MP studio, Art Tube MP mic preamp, Art Tube MP Studio V3 and the Art Tube MP Project series. They all seem to be table top devices.
Do they make a rack mount version? Are you also using a Vent? If so, does it also help tame the shrillness, besides the obvious high quality leslie effect?
Thank's again for your help. Leo

Hi Leo,

I have a v1.0 digital CX-3, which is widely know for its shrillness.  I run it into an Art Tube MP and it does a great job of removing the most hideous aspects of the shrillness.  I still have to EQ things a little inside the CX-3 to make it the way I want it.  But I am very pleased with the Art tube pre-amp.  No need to get the USB version of it like I have.  I just got that because the unit was on sale.

Lou
