Dubreq, inventors and marketers of the Stylophone (pocket-sized monophonic
organ played with a stylus) have just launched their new analogue
synthesiser, the Stylophone S2. It features a 3-octave touch-plate keyboard,
playable with either the included wireless stylus or the player's fingers,
two oscillators, variable-state filter, LFO, 1/4" output, 10 rotary controls
and 12 touch-plates. It also has CV and gate inputs and a built-in speaker.
The instrument is made from metal and is completely hand-made in Britain.
Limited quantities will be available, with a retail price of £299 (US$500);
expensive for a Stylophone, but dirt-cheap for a true analogue synth. And it
looks like something from TRON Legacy...
