I had a Hammond Model GC that I used to lug around in the 70's...
It was a BEAST!!! Built 1941-1945 for the military..G stands for Goverment..
Had the chorus generator....It weighted a ton..
We did a gig at the Wenatchee Valley Speedway in E. Wash. where a generator
was the power source..Dropped a perfect half step...
It was a nightmare at first but soon adapted as best i could..
It was that element of surprise that i wasn't ready for!!
The guys on our crew basically went on strike until I sold that thing &
bought a chopped M3!!
