All chords might have the same waveforms on some instruments (but this is definitely not the case for a Hammond organ with all its manual tapering and filters etc) but songs will sound different in different keys because the chords will be in different inversions: Playing a G13 using F B E G in that order from the bottom sounds great on a B3 as it is right in the middle of the keyboard. Start to move it down a semitone at a time and gradually it will start to sound muddy. To avoid the muddiness of certain chords in certain keys we use different inversions which sound different surely?
