I was never that "wowed" by the Ventilator but trusted the 100% "It's amazing" reviews even from hard
core Leslie guys (like I was) so I bought one. When I hooked it up what I heard was better than any online
demo I have ever seen. The Strymon looks like a quality unit but it seems to be geared more to guitar players.
The Ventilator has a switch to disable the cabinet modeling for guitar use. I don't know if the Strymon even
attempts that since you wouldn't necessarily need cabinet modeling when playing through a guitar amp. It's
not that much more to get the Ventilator and it has a track record that is unmatched for any Leslie simulator
made to date.

My two cents :) YMMV

FWIW, I listened to the YouTube Video I linked earlier without looking at
my computer screen to see if I could tell the difference between the vent
and the lex just using my ears, and I couldn't. Didn't spend a lot of time
with this, but, I just can't hear it. Some with more seasoned ears might. I
thought the quality of the drive was different between the two pedals but
not earth shattering.

My two cents.
