I absolutely LOVE VB3!!!!! There's air in the sound and balls to
spare. That's how I describe it. Guido really did a knock out job on this
software!!! I liked it so much I bought Key Performer on a whim and I love
it to. It also runs great on my netbook.I still need to get around to
selling my Nord E2 61 anyone interested?
Cheers,

using the fixed speed 147, and find it excellent.
> > Thomas
> Indeed: the fixed speed was introduced with 1.4 (almost 2 years ago now!)
and is an HUGE improvement over the other ones. I still haven't found a
better sim, actually (no, I haven't tried the vent, yes I've tried the KeyB,
it's VERy good but I still prefer VB3).
It's been a while since I last tried VB3, as my old laptop would introduce
spurious noises from time to time, and the USB midi gizmo wouldn't always
latch on, when I came out of sleep mode, needing a reboot to get restarted
which was just a hassle.
I noticed that V-Machine was on sake at a give away price so thought it time
to dig out my registration details and download the latest 1.4 version.
Tried it on the old laptop with Asio4all drivers and aside from the same old
glitch noises, it was very impressive. Sadly the V-Machine, when it arrived,
didn't work properly, but by now I was hooked so I have bought an HP mini
210 beats netbook 1.9ghz dual core with Windows 7 starter. The netbook has a
really decent sound card
and works with VB3 very nicely, with no extra noises.
Wow, VB3 is programmed brilliantly, with programmable ( an easy learn
feature ) midi cc#s and I can operate everything I need to, using my Nord
C1. There is even an option of inverse polarity which came in useful as
soft/loud percussion is the wrong way round from the C1's control, going
loud when it should switch to soft. No problem with VB3- just switch
polarity.
VB3 just has a much more realistic Hammond sound than the C1 and the 147
fixed speed Leslie sounds very authentic.
There has been a promise of VB3 MK II release in the future, so my C1 can
then become fully Mojo'd ( although with drawbar buttons )
I know, that nowadays all the clones are really glorified computers, but for
an old codger like me, it still seems like magic to connect my keyboard to a
little netbook and hear such an amazing sound, and see the monitor display
the fully functioning controls.
Happiness is vsti shaped.
