A band I was in once tried recording with a small digital recorder during a practice when a fan was on. The recording was bizarre-ever hear a singer and cymbals sound like they put were through a Leslie?!

According to the story, the leslie effect that can be heard on Senza Luce (italian version of A Whiter Shade of Pale) was obtained putting some sort of fan in front of the speaker.
