Subject:QSC K10 Volume settings

I just bought a K10 and I'm somewhat disappointed in the sound clarity. At high volumes it's somewhat "messy" sounding.
It's right at the edge of not being loud enough and I'm pretty shocked by that.
I'm running my E3 into a Mackie mixer and from the mixer to the K10.
I'm curious how some of you are setting the volume on the back of the box.
I've read where others have experienced some issues with volume. Even though they're robbing the 1000W for both highs and lows I'd think that there would still be a real nice clean sound at high levels.
Any opinions would be appreciated.
Sure hope this works because it's a nice compact unit.
