Same here…
Seen something like 4 real Hammonds in my life, played on two of them. Geez, the first time I did so (on a beaten C3) t was also the first time on a stage! And the second was on a C3 once used by Matthew Fisher in concert (being Fisher one of my main sources of inspiration and the player who originally caged me into playing Hammond…)

Probably see (and hopefully play!) another in a few hours today, tough! i'm going to "Hammond Day 2012" (today, Cascina Maria, Paderno D'Adda, Italy) were there will be the possibility to try out both Crumar's and KeyB's creatures and probably to put hands on the real thing as well…

Once when I was too young to know what the hell it was and another time when I bought some gear off of a guy who refurbished Hammonds/Leslies. I go into his basement and it was wall to wall either Leslie or Organ. I’m like HOLY SHIT!!! He had this really cool blonde B and Leslie in the middle of the room up and running and he let me sit down and take it for a spin…My wife was with me and she said I looked like I just died and went to heaven…I turned red and felt hot all over…I really wish I could swing the real thing and could afford the space. I guess I could relate it to a gearhead sitting in that hot sportscar they’ve always wanted…The whole back thing is a combination of a couple of things, bad genetics, lifting four keyboards and a huge rack for a number of years…Now I only use two and half with an 8 space rack…I’m trying to cut this down to two with a Mac and Logic/Mainstage…When the finances allow…
