Anybody here knows if MIDI/MERGE functionality of Axiom also applies to M-Audio Oxygen 61 Mk3 ?

If not, I'd use the MidiSport 2x2 that was more expensive than the Midisport 1 channel and it worths the extra bucks cause came with MERGE feature.

Wow, that seems wrongly and confusingly worded. I still can't tell if it
merges or not. Oh well. I don't have an Axiom to check it, so I will bow
