Subject:Re: Pedals To VB3
Hi,
I don't own an Axiom but just a quick look at the user manual gives
..... paragraph.... 26 USB Port
The USB 2.0 port (backward compatible with USB 1.1) delivers power to Axiom and transmits MIDI data
to and from the host computer.
..... so the Axiom has USB to PC port, as well old fashioned midi connectors... so you don't need to use midi to USB Audio-M as you are doing.
That's why your PC isn't recognising the Axiom BTW, only recogniaing your M-Audio midi to USB gizmo.
....so you should now be able to connect the Axiom to your Pc using USB cable direct from the Axiom, and the PC will then recognise the Axiom. When connected to your PC via USB it doesn't require a 9 v PSU
The user manual seems very comprehensive and I would think a good read of the instructions would sort out your problems. Check out any warnings regarding reading instructions before connecting via USB.
The instructions regarding USB port do seem badly worded as mentioned by Dave, but it seems that if you check USB port 2 in your software ( when the Axiom is connected by USB ) it will also be accepting data from your pedalboard, which is passing through the Axiom.
Again......I think the manual does warn you to read the instructions before connecting the Axiom to your PC via USB.
Should all work very well though.. Good luck
Thomas
