Subject:Possibly OT - Wurly: Casio WK vs NE3?
It's official - my dad is buying me a Nord Electro 3 73 in November for my 50th birthday! This will replace the Casio WK-3000 which I currently use for Wurlitzer sounds in my band The Skanx - www.theskanxband.co.uk - alongside a Roland VK-7 organ owned jointly by the band. The Casio will retire to my home where my kids and I can play it.
I'm very excited about the Nord Electro, but I have a question for anyone who owns an NE3 and a Casio WK 3x00 - How big a difference IS there between the Wurlitzer sounds on the two keyboards? The Casio is pretty close (I have compared it with a real Wurly), but presumably the Nord is even closer.
Any comments?
Thanks,
Simon
