Subject:VB3 Setup

I've been enjoying VB3, using my Axiom 61 as the controller. I'd like to take this to the next level by using an additional controller board that I have laying around (an M-Audio Keystation) to make use of the upper/lower drawbars in VB3. Problem is, I can only get both boards to play either the upper or lower drawbars, not one playing upper, the other lower (even after playing around with the Midi channel settings). Is there something obvious that I may be missing in setting this up? Ultimately, I'd like to hook up some bass pedals, but that's something for a future message...
